This is a follow on to the 'group buy' thread. I set up both mics and did a quick spoken word recording (what I usually use the mics for) plus a little ad-libbed singing (since I know that is a little more common use).
Left Channel is Alctron HRM-10
Right channel is MXL2003
Recordings are unprocessed through an Edirol UA5 to my laptop. No effects or processing at all.
One thing that surprized me was that the HRM-10 did not require tons more gain than the 2003. If the dial was numbered (which it is not) it would be like 7.5 vs 9
