Tell me what you think.

99 Dead Baboons:cool:
For an SR-16 that ain't bad. But the guitar's tone is too thin. And I don't hear much bass. It's a good performance, the mix just doesn't have enough ass. Know what I mean?

Gottcha!

I understand. I am working on that. I think for the most part I am having mixing problems due to poor monitors. I also ran the guitars direct.

I am acually controllin the D4 with the SR 16. My project studio is kinda pieces and parts controlling other pieces and parts.

I will get it right soon!

By the way rattrack I am in St Charles!

Cool! I work in St. Peters but live on the other side of the river.

scott,

I think I like your version better than the original - specially the vocals

Twist

very cool man.....i used to love this song...right on....breaks in with the key part!!....wow....nice vocals.....the delay is a little heavy on the voice....but thats minor....really like the way youve done this,.....man you nailed the vox...i imagine this isnt easy to sing either.....great job...

thanks
jamal

I liked it........ up until the part where the electric guitar came in. The vocals sounded good... the intro was nice and clear,.. I liked the reverb/delay... but I literaly had to turn it almost all the way down when that guitar came in cause it grated on me so much.

I can't say it's just a "mix" or "EQ" issue.. I would really just use another effect. (one that isn't so harsh.)

And what is this..? A St. Louisan fest? I hope Nelly doesn't show up. :p

WATYF

P.S. I'm in South County.

Man, when this kicks in...I just love it. Holy Hell...I used to make fun of this song, but this rocks in a very good melodic way.

I DEFINITELY like this better than the original. Okay, now I'm gonna' learn it and play it live....

Great job.
Chris

.........Neun and Neunsich luft bollons:D

.......cool cover man. Now lets hear it in Deutch!!!:p :D
.....very cool vocs ......damn nice job. .....a fun listen. ...some mix issues, but no big deal.

c'mon...dude...FEEL THE ROCK, FEEL IT!!!

it kicks. I think most everything was perfect. fanfriggintastic cover.

pretty cool..

the distorted guitar sound was too crisp.. and kinda thin.. it definitely hurt the overall sound, but other than that it was great..

Hey, that was really good!

Better than the original, IMO. Thumbs up!

I like it, but I agree the fuzz on the guitar is a little weak. You said you ran it int he recorder direct. What did you run it out of?

BTW, the vocals are great.

It's cool when i can like a cover better than the original, good job, great vocals

I thoug t you did a great job. Yeah, I think the guitars might sound a little better through a miked amp, but It sounds good anyway. I remember when Seven Seconds did thier version of this song on thier album "Walk Together, Rock Together" Have you ever hear it? If not check it out, It's pretty cool.

I used the DigiTech RP200 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal which will explain the poor guitar sound. I ran this pedal in direct using the amp sim and cabinet sim.

Thanks for the comments guys! I can only get better, I think.

Singing this song gave me a headache because it was a bit out of my range. It took a couple of days to get it right.

Here is the German words if you want to try it. It's not hard once you get used to it and it kind of flows of the tongue.

I can't listen to your song at work, but I'm looking forward to it when I get home tonight.

Hast du etwas Zeit für mich
Dann singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Denkst du vielleicht g'rad an mich
Singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Und das sowas von sowas kommt

99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Hielt man für Ufos aus dem All
Darum schickte ein General
'Ne Fliegerstaffel hinterher
Alarm zu geben wenn's so wär
Dabei war'n dort am Horizont
Nur 99 Luftballons

99 Düsenflieger
Jeder war ein grosser Krieger
Hielten sich für Captain Kirk
Das gab ein grosses Feuerwerk
Die Nachbarn haben nichts gerafft
Und fühlten sich gleich angemacht
Dabei schoss man am Horizont
Auf 99 Luftballons

99 Kriegsminister
Streichholz und Benzinkanister
Hielten sich für schlaue Leute
Witterten schon fette Beute
Riefen: Krieg und wollten Macht
Man wer hätte das gedacht
Das es einmal so weit kommt
Wegen 99 Luftballons

Wegen 99 Luftballons

99 Luftballons

99 Jahre Krieg
Liessen keinen Platz für Sieger
Kriegsminister gibt's nicht mehr
Und auch keine Düsenflieger
Heute zieh ich meine Runden
Seh' die Welt in Trümmern liegen
Hab' 'nen Luftballon gefunden
Denk' an dich und lass' ihn fliegen
