98lite configurations

The 98lite website, http://www.98lite.com, lists four different configurations you can
use: "sleek", "chubby", "overweight" and "98micro". Can't quite figure out what it's all about. I read in another thread where emeric said he uses "minimal install, not micro". Could anyone clear-up what the differences are?

I have a single 30 gb 7200 rpm Seagate that I plan on running in a dual boot with only 98lite and Logic on one partition and internet and general use stuff on another. Does this make sense?

Hi ap,

I guess what I meant was I use the 'sleek' not 'micro'. The difference is in how stripped down the OS will be - in hard drive space required and the windows components that get installed. This can range from not having internet explorer/web integration (chubby) versus no internet explorer/web integration (sleek). I chose 'sleek' over micro because I found micro lacking too many components for my programs and hardware to function properly.

Your setup sounds fine. You mean you will dual boot 2 seperate operating systems, one for internet and one for recording correct? You may want to consider getting another hard drive for audio data only. Or get a smaller 5400 RPM for your dual boot OS's and use your 30GB for audio data.

Thanks for the response. I'm not really clear on how it all works- the dual boot, two drives technique. In the interest of facilitating searches, I think this subject deserves it's own thread with a new, easily identifiable subject title. Sorry, I guess I really asked two related but different questions.
