9353 tribute, kinda

Inspired by the recent reformation and almost immediate breakup of this legendary D.C. band, I give you "Since You Asked." I call my mock band 8464.

And yes, the vocals are supposed to sound a bit demented. I triple tracked them with my cheap Rat Shack mic that I usually use for talkback.

"Or something" was what that band was into at the time (mid-'80s). They're all clean now, though.

The drums are loops, obviously, but I added some kick and snare one-shots throughout to make the transition between the verses and choruses smoother.

The bass and guitar tracks were all done using the exact same patch on my Bass VAmp Pro.

And of course, aforementioned shitty mic for vox.
