909 and the 990

the 990 seems to have a better frequency response, what do you all think for recording vocals and acoustic guitar?

I don't have any experience with the 909 but the 990 sounds good on acoustic guitar, imo.

has anyone used the 909 at all? Do you know if it's supposed to be more advanced? as i said, it seems like it should record much smoother.
