8 ohm speakers for monitoring from PC

Hi, wonder if you can help.
I got some free JBL and Boss speakers and they are 8 ohms.
I have a Behringer UB802 mixer with pre amps for the mic in it as well as a lot of ins and outs for "Control Room" and main out. I was wondering if I can take an out from the pc (soundcard) and run it into the Behringer mixer and have the speakers out of one of the out lines and so get a, you know, monitoring set up.
Is it possible to do this?

Unless it's a powered mixer, you will need an amplifier. Take your output out of the mixer into the amp, then plug your speakers into the amp. That setup should work fine. Not as good as real monitors though.
