8 Channel DI box?

Well.... I have the Behringer 4-channel DI. Your right about that decision! :) Also have the single channel Behringer which for some reason, sounds better than the 4-channel ones  The Art is passive, so it probably will depend on what pre you use behind it ( I have the Radial Duplex, great sounding DI, but requires more gain than my Ditto which is active) I don't know if you're going to find a lot of quality in 8-channels for a whole lot less than the $1,000.00 unit! (IMHO)

BUMP!

I am curious about the ART T8 but can not find any non retailer reviews....wich may be a bad thing.

It sounds pretty cool on the flexibility side and the potential for removing noise when needed.

Could be a cool building block for DIYers that would like to try out various transformers or build some DI preamps etc.

Has anyon here picked one up yet?

Don't throw stones at me for what I'm about to say, but have you looked at the Behringer MX882? It's a fairly unknown little box that can be used as a mixer, line level matcher, line splitter, direct box, whatever. They run about $100. FWIW.

UPDATE : this box will do 6 DI's at a time, not 8. Sorry.

Well, if you don't have to have all of them at once, this looks interesting...

That plus 8 radial j48's and you've got a nice looking 8 channel DI for $1560.

A line mixer won't allow you more than a stereo output. 2 stereo outs at best. For 8 ins and 8 outs, I like radials look. It's sleek and sexy.
