Hi,i have a tascam 788,i dont have a clue how to use the effects,ive read the manual time and time again,i just cant get the efect i want,ive heard a track on the 788 from the previous owner and the vocal track has lovely effects,help!

Luther...Can you give a bit more info. Are you trying to use the Multi-effects (which is 5 effects that can only be used on one channel at a time)...Or the Send Effects (which work as a bus and can be assigned to one, some or all the channels.)

I can't help at all in this case BUT

I recorded an album in Roslyn Chapel (nr. Edinburgh) on a 788 & I had the most annoyingly frustrating time getting the tracks into pro-tools for mixdown

But hey don't let that subtract from the quality of the machine in question. It's amasing what you're getting for money spent on those beasties
