788 Version???

Sorry about this, I'm usually good at searching forums, but I can't find this probably because it is so easy:

I'm thinking about buying a 788 over the net, I want to find out what version of the OS it has, but I don't know how to explain it to the person.

When you power on the machine does it display the OS version? or how how would this person find it to tell me.

Yes, upon powering up, it should say the version, if I'm not mistaken, in the bottom right corner. I haven't had one on a few years, but I'm pretty sure that's accurate.
