Has anyone that has the 788 been able to output the stereo buss to an external processor then back in for mastering? If so, how did you set it up? I want to be able to use an external EQ and A Sonic Maximizer on the master (the whole mix not separate tracks). Can I use the 788's stereo outputs as my send and then back in the auxillary inputs which would be routed back to the stereo buss? or will this cause a feedback loop?
Hopefully it can be done.

Hi, Why do you need to route the stereo signal back through the Tascam? Just pass it from your eq/maximizer direct to your mastering machine.Hope this helps.
 
That was my question. Will the aux sends have the stereo feed because this recorder will use the aux sends as an individual channel patch for external processors? I just didn't know if the aux sends will also have the stereo signal present if the channel sends are off.
Mastering is done on the same unit otherwise I'd use another unit and use the stereo output.
