Hey yall, I cant find ANY 703 up here in Anchorage, AK. I also asked about Knuaff (or however you spell it) and they seemed dumbfounded (same with the 703). I then just asked for Rigid Fiberglass, and one place hungup on me, lol. Anyways, I need to find a alternative, that you can get at Lowes, or Home Depot etc.... Any suggestions?

Called one other place, and this is what I found.

He said he has somthing called Rigid Foam Board made by dow supertuff R

Also he said they have "sound board" he couldnt find a manufactor, but he said it looks just like particle board but is made for "sound" (no idea), it is $8.29 for a slab of 4x8 1/2" thick.

I think rigid foam board is just an alternative for exterior sheathing. Its not what you want.
703 is hard to come by at your local Lowes or Home Depot. Few people there have ever heard of it.
Look for a commericial insulation supplier. I think you'll have better luck with them.

Johns Manville also makes a rigid fiberglass product, called IS300. It is the same stuff as the O-C 703, the acoustic properties are the same save for a little more absorbtion at 250 hz a little less at 125.
I bought a box nine 2' X 4' pannels today for $50 even.
