benn running win xp pro on an adk core II, w/ SONAR 7...for 5 years

as of yesterday...it now has 3 major problems.

i'm right in the middle of a cd project...a bit on the poor side...but want to move up to a new machine...(new adk quad pro:tower in the center ). so i'm worried to freakin' death...here's why:

1) not sure if or how well SONAR 7 will run on win 7
2) have uad 1
3) have wavelab 5
4) ai is lynx aurora 8/aes16
5) have a bunch of other 32-bit apps
6) don't know a damn thing about 64-bit machines

could use some experienced advice...thanx,

I won't be much help but just to ask- can not ADK advise you in this?
That's exactly why I've relied on Jim Roseberry at StudioCat; I'm on three generations of DAW's and smooth sailing with Cake.
Similar to your situation my last move was partly forced by a combination of Dakota on the old PCI buss and UAD2.

If I remember correctly, Cakey went x64 since Sonar 5 (CMIIW), so I don't think Sonar 7 on Win 7 will be a problem by nature (either 32bit or 64bit). Your consideration would be Win7 drivers for your hardwares, and your 32bit plugins.
