5150 cabinet or Mesa Recto

I'm going to purchase either a Mesa Recto or 5150 cabinet for recording. This cabinet will be used with various low power heads and two Hi powered heads including a 5150. I don't have any experience with either cabinet and they'll be used mainly for recording heavy guitars. I'm looking for a cabinet that will produce really heavy thick distortion. The 5150 cabinet is about $200 less than a Recto and there are two recto's... right? So which Recto? Recto's are the benchmark, so is the 5150 comparable?

Thanks... but I need more than that to go on.

I'm looking for experiences or maybe why the Sheffields are great or suck.

I have two cabinets now, one Ampeg V4 with Green Backs and an isolation box with a Vintage 30. Doesn't the Recto come loaded with Vintage 30's?
