4 Track to MP3???

Hi everyone- stupid question. I have a lot of stuff on 4 track that I need to get into electronic format- e.g. mp3. Is there a way, and what would I need to do, to hook up my 4 track directly to my computer and mix directly into mp3? Am I dreaming here or can this be done with some kind of recording software?

no you must first plug the out of your 4 track to the input of your sound card and record .wav files of each song. Then convert them to mp3s.


www.tucows.com has some good free software for this kind of stuff.
