Seriously I don't think anybody does. I mean it's hard to take 4 channels for 80 bucks seriously.

Has anyone that has actually heard it have anything interesting to say? Or shall I sit back and enjoy the ride to Speculation Station? ;)

You can buy it & try it if you don't like it send it back. same day music has a 60 day return. Let us know what it sounds like.

I think that's what I'm going to do. I'll keep you all posted.

You've got to be kidding!

Dude,

No music mag is ever going to review a 4 channel pre for 80 bucks! Try upping the ante and get a better pre.

Just buy a Yamaha MG 10/2 mixer or used Mackie 1202. You'll get the same number of pres, eq, and some routing. Having never tried that 4-channel box, I'd say the quality of the pres wouldn't be much different than the Mackie or Yamaha.

If you've not tried it, how would we know what a "better" pre is? See one of my above replies. I didn't ask for speculation based on a price.

Does anyone have one of these? heard one? used one? etc. Would like some input.

Judging from the specs, I'd steer you in the direction of the Peavey PV8 instead. It has much better distortion specs---0.0007% versus 0.02% for its preamps---and only costs slightly more. Oh, and it's also a mixer with decent EQ, aux/monitor sends, etc.

Sound on sound did a nice review a few months ago. Worth a read.
