I remember about 4 years ago when I listened to a friends tape entilted "3D Sound." It featured things like people wispering into your ear, distant bell rings, and other shocking effects using simply a pair of headphones. Where can I find out how to do this with music. What if I want to make and instrument sound a mile away in a field or wisper lyrics into someones ear, or make the drums go in a circle around the listeners head. It worked with footsteps and other boring crap, it should work with music.

try the volume and pan sliders.. its probably an effect you can duplicate if you have enough patience to experiment.. i can see how this would be done on a pc , but if your not a copy and paste man you might be out of luck...

To get these affects you need to play with different reverbs/ delays/EQ /Paning till you get what you want. For making a sound seem further away, somthing that sounds really good is a thing called "MS stereo", I probobly arn't the best person to explain it because i arn't an expert at it but it's somthing worth looking into.
