I've been recording guitar and bass with Cubasis and having no probs. I have an old Trident Blade graphics card. If I put in a card with a 3D accelerator should I expect any problems, and if so, can anything be done to prevent them (adjust graphics or hardware accelerator in my computer)?

Thanks,

Steve M

NO The graphics card is entirely not going to inhibit audio. What will though is when you start putting all those games on your computer because you got that shiny new graphics card. The more stuff (programs and games) you have on your computer, the more likely you are to have problems. I would suggest Nvidia though. Great driver support with those guys and great cards.

Thanks for the quick reply and good suggestions.

You won't notice the problems described by Beezoboy so much if you're on 2K/XP and you have a dedicated audio drive.

My system is loaded with crap.

I agree that the video card won't be a problem. There was a time many years ago where some PCI video cards would cause problems (e.g. hog the bus). Sometimes you still run into stupid tips in "FAQS", like turning off hardware acceleration....pay no attention.

You're planning on going to/sticking with AGP right?
