i'm just wondering, there are these 'packages' with accoustic foam to treat your room out there, i'm doing several bands the next few months so i'll have some money i can spend on accoustic treatment,
but i don't know what you guys think about this kind of stuff:

is it better to built a bunch of basstraps myself instead of putting all these things on my walls?

thanks,

Absolutely. Do a search here and I'm sure you will get a thousand threads on DIY absorbers. If you build these with rigid fiberglass, rockwool or other mineral wool, at least the manufacturer gives absorption coeffecients for various frequency bands at various thickness's. This manufacturer gives ZERO performance data. One of the FIRST things FAQ's should give you is a link to their test results. That should tell you something. Like this:

Absolutely. For the approximately the same money, you can build a far superior treatment package with very little work. Do a search here and I'm sure you will get a thousand threads on DIY absorbers.
