It's a shame but it's true. For about 199.00 you can get an RNC.
 
You guys should check out TapeOp new issue on the Alesis 3630 MOD. It just talks about snipping a few wires to make the 3630 sound more like a dbx comp. Its a good article, check it out.

I had two 3630's and sold them both for $40 or $50 after searching for some DIY Mods and never finding any.

Used the $$ to buy cables at Mars going out of business sale and never looked back.

Would not buy one again.
