ok....im starting to post here more and more so i hope these kind of questions arent getting annoying.......iv searched but still have questions..

ok...i know condensors require phantom power and preamp, but what about a dynamic mic, do they still need a preamp?

if so, will i be able to run right out of the mixer (behringer or carvin, i think the carvin can) from the channel on the mixer so i can use the onboard preamp?

and iv seen good responses on the delta 1010lt, so......would i be able to buy some adapter plugs (for the deltas rca's) and record up to 8 tracks of drums??

im gonna sneak one more question in.....whats the best recording program for drums......vocals? iv been using cool edit pro 2000 and recording guitar tracks for practice but thats about it..my home studio and pro audio 9 wont work with the soundcard on the pc.

thanks guys....

i dynamic doesnt need phantom power, but does need a preamp....

if you go thru the board, you wont wanna go thru the preamp on the card.....

you can go from the mixer to the 1010lt with a single cord (prob 1/4" to RCA) for each channel...with the Carvin SM162, for example, you can go from each of its 8 channels that has phantom power and preamps to an input of the 1010lt and record up to 8 tracks simultaneously......

software choices are purely preferential....one doesnt necessarily work BETTER than another for certain applications...just different layouts and features.....

you can go there and download demos and see what works best for you
