I have 4 pedal boards

Roland GT-6
Korg AX3000
Zoom GFX5
Line6 livepod pedal board

They all are multi effects processes but i need to stack them on shelfs or something to elevate levels put be able to see the buttons, sceens and foot pedals to change patches

What can i build i tried a shelfing system but the wood craked when i would put my foot down
on the expression pedal or footpedal on the second level elevated

The problem is i need something strong for the second level or 3rd level so when i put my
foot down strong doing wah wahs or expression parameters and to be able to change patches
without crack or bending the wood shelf

Heavy as hell, but use all 2x4's bolted together, the frame and the floor of it. That won't crack.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy some wooden planks of oak, drill pilot holes and use screws. Also it sounds like your problem is less in the materials and more in the design, brace things corectly and you might not have to make the whole thing out of 2x4's, but for three levels expect it to be heavy if you want it to be tough.

Also untreated 2x4's might crack if you don't drill pilot holes ;)

Thanks guys for the help

When i stack the roland GT6 ontop of the Korg AX3000 like a shelf design i can't see the Sceens, knobs, pedals i can't put my foot in the shelf to access the pedalboard underneath it or see it i need to stagger the shelfs

How can i stagger the shelfts to elevate them like this?

Is Oak wood the best for not cracking and its solid to press weight on ??
becaues

level#1 on the floor is going to be the roland GT-6 i want to be able to see the sceen LCD ,knobs, pedals and be
able to put my foot under or access the foot pedals to change patches

Level#2 will be the Korg AX3000 i want to be able to see the sceen LCD ,knobs, pedals and be
able to put my foot under or access the foot pedals to change patches

Level#3 will be the Zoom GFX5 i want to be able to see the sceen LCD ,knobs, pedals and be
able to put my foot under or access the foot pedals to change patches

If i stack them like a book shelf i can not see anything and i can't put my foot to access anything
so i have to STAGGER the shelfs some how to do this ?

Does any one make anything like this for pedalboards?

Or how would i build something like this please?

Diamond plate shelves ? where at?

I need a pedal board looking like stairs how they are staggered and overlapping alittle to be able to see the sceen LCD ,knobs, pedals and be
able to put my foot under or access the foot pedals to change patches

who makes good strong wood shelfs with legs or that has woodboards on the sides to make it stand but can stack like shelfs ??

I suggested oak because I know that any Lowes will have short [4ft] planks of it and it'll be solid wood as oposed to MDF which won't be strong enough to be stepping on. Rather than building your board to be a 'shelf' system I'd suggest a stair design, to make buttons stompable without fear of stepping on the LCD screen of the device below it, angle the stairs. I can draw something up if thats not clear to you, just PM me.

How can i make the board like a stair design with bolts or screws if i step on the second or 3rd level won't the screws crack the wood?

walters, you dumbass, how are you going to raise your foot up high enough to tap an effect on the upper-most shelf?

ps, I know that you don't really have a Roland GT-6, Korg AX3000, Zoom GFX5, and a Line6 livepod pedal board, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyways.

And just pretending that you did have all of those effects that you needed for a live performance, could you please describe the type of music you are playing, just for shits and giggles?

Secondly, your math is as bad as your shtick. You have 4 pedalboards but only need a 3 level shelf?

Wouldn't it make sense to be able to rack the whole.................

WTF am I talking about? There is no walters, no pedalboards, no creamymotherfuckin compression, or any of the other stupid shit the working-half of this idiot's brain has given us!
