3 Humbuckers??

I love the look of a guitar with 3 humbuckers, but have never played one. What are the advantages/disadvantages (if any) of having 3? I'm just wondering if I should spend the extra cash for having a 3rd one or am I not going to hear much difference compared to two? Thanks.
P.S. Is there any place one can get Les Paul size bolt on necks? Warmoth doesn't seem to make them as a standard offering, but perhaps will custom make? I suppose that would cost much more than their standard necks.

3 humbuckers are incredibly meaty sounding. Too much for my taste, and my ear is accustomed to jazz! But some might like it (think a Ted Nugent or Ace Freely sound). It sounds pretty much like that (through a Fender DeVille that is).

I have bought several necks off EBay and never had a problem.. Just search on "Les Paul Neck"
