The Devil Has Blue Eyes
Hi All,

This is my 2nd try with a Soundcloud link. My latest track which I'll be sending off for mastering shortly. Wondering what you hear that needs fixing?

-Do you think the kick is too loud?
-Do the vocals sound strange to you? If so, what frequency do you think I should cut?
-Are the vocals too loud in the chorus and bridge?
-The vocal with the lead guitar in the break after the first chorus will be turned up

And of course any other suggestions you might have.

If you type [SLOUNDCLOUD]http://www.soundcloud.com/yoursong[/SLOUNDCLOUD] it'll embed. :)
Obviously spell soundcloud right though.

Voice sounds great to me, but it sounds really on top of the mix.
Hard to describe but the drums and guitars sound, soft and restrained?

I'm not sure what you'd do, but if possible they could both use more bite, especially the drums IMO.

Tip top performance wise though, and really nice to listen to.
Nice one. :)

Thanks. So bring the voice level down a touch? I did the drums with my electronic kit and using Steven Slate drums. Not sure what I could really do to improve it other than change levels and pans within the software. The guitars I can do though...I use Guitar Rig 4 so I'm sure I could mess around with the settings to get more bite.

Hmm, it's hard to say, but I guess I'd be looking at higher end eq on the snare and kick, and maybe compression with late attack?

Might just be me though, but yeah, I'd definitely lower the vox a touch.

The problem is it comes thru as one overall track cuz my drums don't output each pad independently. I can't EQ or comp just the kick and snare alone. I can only apply to the overall kit. Thanks again for your help.
