Does anyone make a two channel soundcard with 24b/96kHz resolution and AES format I/O? Specifically, I'm looking for a very good quality sound card (or external interface) with two channels of analog I/O (on XLRs) and two channels of digital I/O (AES format, on a single XLR).

I would have thought that this would be a very basic item in this day of huge track counts, onboard DSP, Midi everything, etc. But I'd be very appreciative if anyone can point me towards a device with these features. To make it even easier, this device will be part of a new system that I will purchase soon, so I can work with ANY type of connection: Firewire, PCI, USB, whatever.......

Thank you.

I think Lynx makes a unit with a balanced / AES/EBU option.

They also make the AES16 (my personal favorite interface).

lynxtwo L22 ~650

you can get Jim Williams to upgrade it for 200 bucks as well. He puts the latest in greatest in chips and opamps, supposed increase the fidelity but raise the SNR. With that said i'm tryna save up to do it to my Lynxtwo-C

teacher. got a question out of interest.
what would be a step up from a lynx because i have not seen one.
