interesting. song wise some of the stuff is pretty cool..

what are you recording with?

A lot of it seems...(and I mean this in a very nice way)...pre-demo. For example, "chase"...a few points:

I hear all kick...but not much bass..
The vocals sound very washed out...

I would more less describe the entire mix that way...once all of the instruments come in. I think at the beginning with the acoustics it sounds very very nice...the first second of the song captures a great sound...but compare :01-:10 to 1:10 - it's like a different record. Sounds hollow...I don't know, I have a hard time describing it..maybe someone else will have better luck.

I like the tunes though...think you are definately off to a good start...maybe just some things to keep in mind for the next CD you make. good luck.

I think i'd like to hear the rhythm guitar more in my face...rather than the backset distortion sound that it is.

It was recorded on a vs1680 and what you are hearing are lo-fi versions (good ears) . Bleed

Pick ONE out of 25, and I'll listen and comment on it, if you'd like.

next week(or tommorrow...maybe)...another

what it's worth....

sounds like tesla.

oops...I justed picked one:D

Thanks for taking the time to listen and respond. As far as the recording goes I used Roland VS 1680 to do The basic tracks here at my studio inCalifornia. I then went to Dick Wagner's Downtown Digital Studio's in Saginaw Michigan and he and I spent a week on the mixing/mastering phaze. That is him on the acoustic intro on CHASE.

Anyone who does not know who Dick is should check out his dicsography @ www.wagnermusic.Com. The man is a living freakin rock-n-roll legend.

As far as the mp3's go they are lo-fi streaming and not of the same quality as the actual cd. Having said that I will admitt the recording is not on the same level as Pink Floyd's THE WALL but is a fair first effort showing my bands music.

Are there things I wish I would have done differently while recording? Of course. As with most of you here I feel that the art of recording is an evolving learning proccess and we get better the more we do it, the more questions we ask, the more techniques we try. I have been blessed with working with some very talented people over the past few years and they have been kind enuff to share what they know with me. It's a full time gig for me now. Live and learn as they say and as long as I'm livin' I B learnin'. Once again thanks for your responce's. Bleed
