2488 scene/null

On the scene memories on the 2488, should the shift/null have kept track of where ever the slider levels were set, even if you have gone to work on another song and changed the slider positions? It uses the little arrows to tell you up or down, but if you've changed, it seems to make that the new setting rather than recalling where the volumes were originally.
Any Ideas?

It sounds like your faders are set to 'real'. Set them to 'catch' instead (see pg. 84-85 in the manual). The scene memory will recall the original fader settings, but you'll then have to manually move them back to those positions as indicated on the display.
