Quick question, I just need a descent soundcard that can record in 24 bit. Only need one input. What's the most economical option?

Because we're dealing with tracks that are 24 bit, and our soundcard can only handle 16. Of course, if I had a brain I would just convert the tracks to 16 bit.

If you will be processing the file once you transfer to the computer, you will want it kept at 24 bit....if not, 16 bit will be fine....but what matters is what you are transfering it to computer for...if its any project thats important, you wont wanna do it with just any soundcard because the converters on a cheap card will not treat you very well....what machine are you transferring from?

If it has S/PDIF outputs, you can get a Delta Dio 2448 from Mars for 89.99 thats a digital only card...if you have to go analog, depending on the quality you want you can go with a Delta Audiophile(good) or a Lynx One(exceptional)......
