Hi, all
I'm having some difficulties trying to record in 24-bit mode in Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.
Here's the deal.
I have a Delta 66 sound card which can record in 24-bit mode up to 96mhz rate. It works great in Cakewalk as long as the "Audio Driver Bit Depth" in Cakewalk's general audio window is set to 16. However, when I choose 24 in that setting and try to record, Everything seems to work, but, after pressing stop, nothing appears, as if nothing was ever recorded.
I've made sure I have the most updated drivers on the Delta and the latest Cakewalk patches and updates. When I switch back to "16" in the "Audio Driver Bit Depth" window, everything records and works fine.
I have the sampling rate in Cakewalk set at 48000khz and the file bit depth set at 24. Does this mean I'm actually recording at 24 bit, even if the "Audio Driver Bit Depth" window is set to 16?
I'm very confused. Hope someone can help me figure out why the 24-bit setting as mentioned above doesn't seem to work.
Thanks in advance!
