I have a Yamaha UW-500 USB-Box for recording.
My mic is a t.bone 1000.

My question: how can I record 24bit sounds?

my UW-500 supports 24/96 mode. but in CoolEdit Pro I can only
select 16bit.

In Cool Edit Pro Version 1.2, when you open a new session in Multitrack, a dialog pops up that gives you a choice of bitdepth and sample rate. As for bitdepth, it gives you a choice of 16-bit or 32-bit. If what you want is 24-bit files, select the 32-bit option - that'll give you 24-bit for most practical purposes.
