Truthfully, all of the advise others have given is great. I haven't used multipattern mics, but know the theory. I have used omni mics, and even though they were crap, I still got what I think was a good acoustic sound with them. If you take any of the combos suggested, you'll be starting off well. You've obviously done your research anyway with the choices you posted.
