Hi, I want to have more inputs for my computer. I currently have an Audiophile 24/96.

I've heard that you can put more than one audiophile card into a machine and run them both in... is this correct??

I'd probably just get another 24/96 as it sounds great to me.

I believe the drivers / software are "supposed" to support up to 4 m-audio cards. I think early on some people had issues making this work, but i havent heard anyone complain about it lately. YMMV
I'd say go for it. (but try to buy from places with good return policies- just in case)

Millenium Music is just down the road and those guys rock! Great prices and they take the time to talk you through stuff when you get confused. Not had to take anything back yet but I can't imagine them being sh!tty.

Anyone actually tried two of these??

Fishybob - i don't have an answer to your question but if you would be so kind --- i have been looking at the 24/96 (and i have a ProQ10) -- can you tell me if i can use XLR mics to 1/4 inch adapters into the 24/96 and get good results? -- thanks Locosan

I've not run directly into my soundcard from a mic... not sure what type of results you'd get (I'm sure they just work as line in). General concensus here is to get a preamp. If you're on a tiny budget (as I was when I started all this) - the ones in a small mixer.

Sound quality is very good though!

Checked it out... No pre amps. :(

The closest thing to the ProQ10's breakout box would be the Audiophile Delta44 I think.

May I ask why your thinking of a 24/96 if you already have a ProQ10?? I'd sell your grandmother to get one of those!

Thanks - i hadn't thought about a mixer to use it -- We have a Q10 for our band - set up studio/practice style. I take the raw data home for mixing and thought if i had a cheap Soundcard at home i could add my harmonica/back vox and percussion w/o having to find time to go to the "studio" (our guits garage;) I figured since we have aardvark i'd like to stick with similar -- thanks again , Loco
