hi all,

right now I have a SB live platinum and I am thinking of buying a Delta 44. Can I still keep the SB on my comp for the midi interface, or even still use the extra inputs on that card if necesary? or will this cause driver conflicts?

thx for responding..

I had an Audiophile 2496 with an SB - not sure which one - on a Win2k desktop. Never had a problem.

Echo Mia and an SBLive together here... also no problems.

(But ALWAYS make sure you can take back whatever you buy in case you do have problems!)

back when i first got my delta 1010 i had it in with a sb awe64:( it didn't work either..
but i have no need for the POS awe64, the delta does everything, and the quality is great

Brett,

I had SB Live! and went out and bought a Delta 44 and the transition was seamless. I only wish I had gotten a higher Delta though because once I got monitors, the Delta 44 does not support MIDI.

But, for your question, they should work just fine together, just make sure you choose your devices correctly when you set up the Delta.

thx microship,

what are you trying to say about your monitors and the Delta 44? Can't you use the MIDI from your SB for sequencing?

I have the picture I didn't quite understand your post:-)

I have a Delta 66 and SB Live, but I never use the audio inputs on both cards to record from simultaneously....

Brett,

My monitors are hooked up to the Delta 44, which has no MIDI line hook up. So, all I meant was that when I have a MIDI track on my cakewalk program, I don't hear the MIDI playback on the monitors unless I go through and re-record/convert the MIDI track to an audio track.

Hope that helped!
