I'm using the Audiophile 2496 and a OnBoard Soundchip "Crative Sound Blaster PCI". Are there any known problems with that configuration? I need a second card first of all to playback or monitor the sound and to use MIDI. Besides that I'm having trouble with CUBASE Go 2.0
Every time while playin' a Audio file I cannot mute or solo any of the tracks, because a weird sound comes up and the whole damn application blocks.
Any suggestions that could help to ease my nerves.

You're probably having resource conflicts with your sound cards. Go to control panel, system and device manager. Check to see if there is an exclamation point next to either one of your SCs. You'll need to reassign IRQs or DMA for one of the devices.

Good luck.

Cubase will output to only 1 card... period... if you have a digital out the on the card, you can route it to the SPDIF IN on the Audiophile card and monitor that way.

Digital routing

Thanks for the hint. Refering to Cool Breeze I didn't have any
conflicts with Audiophile and the onboard chip.
But in the meantime I deactivated the onboard chip, cause
I found a way (cable stuff!) to monitor or to use my active
PC desktop speakers and my analog mixer speakers at the same time.
But Blue Bears suggestion sounds interesting. You probably meant
by "...digital out the on the card" a digital out of the on board chip,
which I think is not available. I will check thatout. But than I have to fix the routing in Audiophile "patchbay" of the mixer section, don't I?
