I've been here, before, but it was a long time ago...
Anyways, here's a couple of tunes. The first is an old song recorded in 2000 and was meant as a joke, but also to help hone mixing skills and figure out what I'm doing when recording. The second was recorded a couple of weeks ago.
I'd like to know #1 if you guys think that I've progressed between the first song and second and #2 what I could do to improve the mixes.
Also, keep in mind that both of these songs were recorded using ONLY an SBLive card, cakewalk, cool edit pro/Adobe Audition, and crappy mics (sm57's and RadioShack Omni). No expensive equipment or breakout boxes.
Ok, here they are:
(yes, it's a joke. yes, it's white boy rap. warning there is a lot of profanity, but in good fun)
(This is a very Postal Service sounding song. Electronic Emo sort of)
Thanks guys!
