Cool tunes for just screwing around :) As usual, your mix is superb but you know me, I'm going to complain about the metal kick being overpowering and out of sync. I'm listening only on a set of computer speakers and I can only imagine that the kick may sound good lost in a strong bottom and mid-range. Truth is though, the kick sounds kinda cheap and out of place on the smaller speakers, almost like your tapping it out with a casio keyboard. It's like I start getting into a melody line and then there's this distracting tick, tick, tick... It's not that these speakers are bad or cheap, it's more like you need to work on getting that metal kick to sound good on them also and it is possible. Shoot, the rest of the drums sound great, especially that snare.

good observations on that :)

I'm gonna try something out just for that, I'm gonna get back to this with new versions of the mixes after the christmas weekend. I'm gonna try a different EQing of the kick.

:D But if you do get a chance to listen on another set of speakers with the low end, let me know what your opinions are on that.

Sounds great. I also think the kick is a bit too clicky for me and little loud.

On Murder head, I think the vocals are up just a tad too far.

Did you program the drums? Also, what's your signal order for the vocals, they have a great sound.

I really like how you get stuff spread out. Things coming from all directions. Big width to it all.

Thanks for the input. Thank you Nick as well.

On the vocals, cult (in order):

Dynamics

-Joe Meek Opto compressor
-D3 Focusrite limiter (helps level things out)
- SSL EQ or Roger Nicols Uniqualizer

Time Based

-Waves Supertap delay (Analog delay setting in tempo)
-Pitch Shift (Waves Doubler 2 voice)

The time based applied more to the lead vocals, while the backing vocals remain dry. Tucked underneath and behind the lead.

Same thing applies to situations with three part harmonies, except for spreading out backing vocals with the use of stereo delays.

The drums I did program, or as we say "sweeten" :D. I prefer not to, but well, I'm not exactly the best living room drummer you've ever seen

Well, it sounds great. You're a good programmer. I like to know when it's programmed because when I hear such a good drum sound like that I feel like shit when I can't get it. So when I know it's programmed I feel a little better about myself. :) Good job though, they are very nicely written.
