I've recently finished two new tracks, just curious as to see what kind of critiquing it gets from you guys. everything's done with an aardvark 20/20, cakewalk pro audio, fruity loops studio, a behringer condensor, and several low-class dynamic mics:
Sound a bit too "midi", and I'm not talking about the synth lines. You can clearly hear that, for instance, the strings are from a library and are playing in with a keyboard, and then never touched again (mess with your attack and release a bit). The piano gives me the same feeling.
The balance across the frequency spectrum and stereo image is good, to very good.
