This is my first attempt at using the Delta 1010 with my PC and AA 1.5. Some tracks were first recorded on my BR1180 which I transferred to the PC and then I did some further tracking.

I'd appreciate it if you give a listen and let me know what you think of the performances and the rec quality. I know they aren't perfect, and there are plans for drums on the tune called Sunday. But for sitting at home in my basement with me, myself, and I, I to run the equipment and play everything I'm satisfied I did the best I could. Thanks ahead of time. :D

Sunday (first link)....
- the guitar tone/recording is very good. I like the tone and the reverb you used. Gives it a bit of bounce and color but the main (dry) guitar sound is still present.
- the backgound vocals are very high - is that a girl singing or falsetto. Nice pitch on that. I found them slight left in my headphones, and wondered if doubling up and panning l/r might work (just a thought).
- love the heavy guitar on the chorus. Pushes the song just a bit harder but doesn't overpower it.
- nice arrangement on the harmonies throughout.
Where is my weekend ? I'm enjoying it listening to your tune while it snows outside....

:) :D :) :D

Hey thanks

I did everything you here on those two songs. The highs SUnday were me singing kick you in the balls falsetto, and yes they are panned left. Thanks for the listen, I appreciate it.

Listening with h/phones to Sunday.
Sounds really goood BUT the reverb or delay on the acoustic guitar creates a woosh when you stop the strum which is distracting & unattractive.
The same with the electric guitar - though that might be a gtr effect.
Good song.
The backing vocal could use a partner or a clone spun over to the opp side of panning.

bump

for more active weekday crowd. Looking for comments and suggestions. I am going to do another vocal background track and pan it right on the SUnday tune like suggested.

I really like mixes youre making. The acoustic guitar sounds really attractive to me. Sounds very crisp to my ears. I like the songs youre making , very laid back guitar with a little punch to the vocals. I'm not quite sure which songs my favorite amongst the two but either way , it was pleasant enough to listen to both of them. :)

I appreciate that. I have been wrestling with a few self perceived problems, and you touched on one of them. Specifically, the laid back song style that seems to flow throughout most of my songs. It seems even when I try to kick things up a notch (like the distorted guitars in the chorus of Sunday), I still end up with a relatively even feel. I guess until I record in another process, other than tracking all by myself on each instrument, they will all probably retain that feel.

Another issue I wrestle with, is I feel like my pitch wanders a bit in certain areas, and I can't seem to reign it in. But nobody has picked out those spots yet, so I'll leave the vocals as is for now.

Thanks for listening, I'll be putting more songs up when I get them pre mastered.
