2 Firewire interfaces? HD and Recording Interface

So, I haven't actually bought the equipment, but I see a problem could occur.

I want to save raw audio data after recording with the interface on a second hardrive, an external specially set for my audio recordings. BUT, the interface itself is a firewire. So, what are my options since my laptop only has 1 firewire input, and both the interface and the extra HD would be firewire.

Do I get a firewire splitter of some sort? Or should I just buy a USB hardrive, but... then it wouldn't be fast enough, would it? Kind of confused, help appreciated.

What interface is it? A lot of devices have a second port on them for daisy-chaing other firewire devices.

Or you could also buy a PCMCIA firewire card with more than one port on it.

Oh yes, you're right. It's the Presonus Firebox, and it looks like it has a second firewire plug in the back. Problem solved, thanks. ;)
