It was probably an easy Charity write-off! Most of the guitars on that page are pretty ugly, with the exception of EC's Blackie, which is just worn out. Funny that The Fool was not shown, maybe because its not for sale?
Story here

When you look at all the uncertainties in the financial industry, the one investment that will never lose money is the vintage guitar scam.
What recession?

Whoever wrote that copy is a terrible writer and musically clueless. For example: "autographed by many music legends including Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and many more." For some reason the writer felt that we might not know who Mick Jagger or Jimmy Page were without mentioning the bands they were in, and Keef and Ronnie seem to be excluded from the Stones. In the bit about the Squeeze Telecaster the writer calls it a Stratocaster.

I'm very surprised that apart from Blackie they're all custom 'bling' models, as opposed to iconic instruments from rock history.

Seriously where are the Hendrix strats? Les Paul's Log? The national from the front of Brother's in Arms? Keef's Tele? Or the one Springsteen's holding on Born in the USA? I'd be far more interested in owning any of those than some brand new stock guitar that's been dipped in wood-glue and then rolled in Swarovski crystals.

i fully agree. but those will probably not sell. anyway i could imagine a lot of equipment i would by rather than this guitars - though clapton's blackie is really cool!!

"The Fool" SG wasn't shown because Todd Rundgren has it and refuses to give it up.
