I was tempted by an MCI deck once. Then I realised it wouldn't fit through the door.

Even on eBay (and I check daily)...2" 16-track decks and/or headstacks rarely come up, and yes, when they do, they are not cheap.

I typical 2" 24-track deck in good condition will run from $2k-$3k for a nice Otari 80/90, or even a decent MCI...to $5k-$8k for a minty mint Otari 90/100 or and MCI or even more for a Studer.
Add some more $$$ for the 2" 16-track.
