I bought this and realized I just dont need a rackmount system.
This thing is quick. Its got a lot of fans (6-8) so consider that. I will do a fresh install of XP Pro tweaked for audio. This has one free PCI slot on the back for adding your favorite audio card or Firewire/USB card for your interface.

Pickup or ship, its up to you. $850 or best offer. Consider this sells for about $1,300 - $1,400 configured this way. I'll give whoever 30 day money back on this thing.

Would also consider trades Looking for pre amps like a couple of bricks or a DAV BG1 or somthing or partial trade on an older sm7.. Thats about all I really need at this point.

but I need some more info. You mention a lot of fans...how did that impact your tracks (and/or how the sound of the computer if you used it to play audio files through a PA)?

- Would it need additional rack space (i.e. a space above/below it) in a rack, or did it run cool enough with fore/aft air movement to be mounted with other equipment?

- What inputs/outputs does it have beside the PCI slot?

- Does it have an optical drive?
