This is my first post so the question might seem pretty elementary to you guys. I have a 6 track mackie mixer that I currently send into my m- audio delta sound card (it has like 4 1/4 inch cable inputs) and use cakewalk software. Is is possible to send all of my inputs in my mixer and record each seperatly on my computer???

Thanks again

You mean a 6 channel Mackie?

Are you sure it has 4 ins and not 2 ins and 2 outs?

It sounds like you have a 2496 Audiophile which in turn has 2 ins and 2 outs thus allowing the recording of 2 channels at a time.
Unless you count their SPDIF's (which I don't ;))

Yeah, Its a 6 channel mixer, and the audio card has 4 ins and 4 outs.

Thats a Delta 44.
Capable of recording 4 channels at a time.

Does the mixer have Direct Outs or Channel Inserts for each channel? If so, you should be able to use these to feed each channel directly to the sound card's inputs.

If you use the Channel Inserts, you will probably need to only insert your cable just halfway into the connection jack (i.e., until you hear the first click) to use it as a "send." Check your mixer instruction manual for full details. This will be an unbalanced connection as well, but shouldn't be a problem if you keep the cables short.

Sorry man, I didn't see the word "Delta" in your original post.
