1st drum rec

sounds good, the kick seems to ring kinda long though, maybe cut some of the deep lows from the kick track. as i'm listening to it, i just get the feeling like i want to SMACK that kick pedal as hard as i can haha, but that's just what i'm used to.

i remember back when you posted Da Cat, that was a cool tune. :cool:
 
The drums sound good for the most part. Sometimes to get the kick to get that clicky sound I will duplicate the track then compress one of the tracks and add hi's to the kick. the snare sounds nice but I like some reverb on my snares. The snare sounds pretty hefty, what kit are you using?

Alright. Will take that into consideration. What do you mean, you get the feeling you want to SMACK the kick pedal?

Ok, good idea. I also like reverb on snares, but didn't try it out yet.
It's my friends' set, and it's a Ludwig Accent. But, actually the snare is a Mapex.

Is that a good set? He's got some really nice cymbals, I know that much.

what i meant was i wish the kick was played harder, but i dunno it probably doesn't need to be haha, it's not a hard rock song or anything. :D

Oh ok, I see. :D haha

Yeah it's not a really hard song. They do blast the guitars in the chorus, though.
 
sounds good man. the kick is less "ringy" now. vocals sound cool too. can't wait to hear the whole thing.
