Im saving up for a new tusl2c 1ghz pc. I wanted to know if i need a cooling fan installed?what kind?Is cooling fan the same as a case fan?I noticed that some cases have two fans.thanks

You definetely want a heatsink/fan on the processor.

Nothing fancy though. Buy a retail box version of the PIII 1GHz - it comes with heatsink/fan. If you buy an OEM chip, i.e. one that comes in a static bag, then get a heatsink/fan rated for that chip.

Case fans install in the computer case/chassis. Processor fans install on the processor. Whether you need a case fan depends on your climate and how much other heat generating (hard drives, video cards etc.) devices you have in the box.

If you're going to get a TUSL2, why would you get a Coppermine CPU? I'd spend the extra few bucks and get Tualatin. It'll be faster, not to mention cooler.

I was not aware of that. I wanted a cusl2c but they dont make it anymore.thanks
