I'm trying to build a small home studio for voice-over recording...I won't need to record instruments...can't play well enough. 
So, is the extra cost difference worth it to bump up to the 1616M?
I have the 1212M but am thinking of selling it as I won't be using it to record (it's the family computer..not in a good place to record) and moving to a laptop based system I can move around if I need to (and put away from the little tykes!) Any suggestions are appreciated.
