Hey,
Ive decided to start a one man project and was given some advise that (along with other things) i could use a 16 track recorder (because i want to use all my physical instruments)

at this stage i havent been able to find any except one that is ridiculously priced.

any thoughts on where i could get one and for a bit low budget? or any other suggestions on recording?

You don't need a 16-track recorder unless you are going to record 16 tracks at once.

If you are setting out on a one-man-band thing, you will be playing one instrument at a time, so you will only need to be able to record one at a time.

However, you could end up with 16 tracks to be mixed together once you've added all the various parts, so what you need is smoeting that will allow you to mix this.

You might consider a simple stereo audio interface, coupled with suitable computer software such as Reaper.
