its ok to mix bit depths, you just cant mix samplingrates.....Ive used some 16 bit loops and recorded 24 bit tracks in the same project with no problemos......
ok well i did some mixes today which involved 24 bit and 16 bit tracks. It won't play in winamp on my computer, and i also can't burn it onto cd.
Btw i just got a new soundcard and its my first mixes w/ it. Everytime i play in winamp or Nero it gives me a message file not recognized (nero) or an error message.
bounce everything down to 16 bit 44.1. i'm not sure about winamps capabilities, but i know it can play that, and since 16/44.1 is cd audio you'll be able to burn it to cd. my guess is you bounced them at 24 bit and maybe 48khz. a cd can't handle these numbers and i don't think winamp can either.
