yeah...it's had a weird slant. Sonic, no offenses taken...thanks for the reply and sorry for my abruptness.

Weird how Ed's posts only show up in "quoted" areas now...

But that explains how the "strange vibe" cropped up now anyway. Those old threads with the flamin' and Blue Bear yanking and Sonus... glad that's the past.

All it needs now is someone saying they aint coming back 'cause they've had it ! ;)

A few of the childish anarchist wannabes who used to poison this place decided that they were going to test the new owners of this board at Audiofanzine, thinking they could weasel their way back in again. It looks like the new owners have no interest in playing games with such people.

Don't let 24 hours of bullshit drive you off, you're bigger than that. You're far too interested in teaching to let the kid on the back of the room with the spitballs and the armpit farts chase you out of the classroom. Besides, that kid has now been expelled by the new principal.

This is the fourth time in less than four years that he has been banned from this BBS. I have little doubt that he'll be back again. He's like the hurricanes, tornadoes or mudslides that come into season once a year or so. But running and hiding in a cave is not the answer.

I say we just pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and walk on. It's the holidays and no scrooge with a sick obsession that blew through town for a couple of days should be allowed ruin them for us.

OMG. Just do it yourself. Get the mix sounding good on alot of different equipment. There is no such thing as a "Radio Mix". Radio incorporate thier own compression techniques, so dont even worry about that. And it does boil down to taiste. Fidelity wise, I hear tunes posted on this site that sound terrible to me, yet others think they are great. And vice versa. Its how YOU want it to sound. Some like alot of bass, some like to hear alot of mids. Some like the kick to sound like your standing next to it, some like it to sound like a steel drum a mile away. Some like a big crackin snare, some like that piccalo snare sound. Some like the flat lined loud as hell music that plagues most music produced today. Some like the music that isnt squashed to hell and you can hear the different instruments. Mostly us old guys :) Get Bob Katz book on Mastering and read it. You will learn alot and do it yourself !!!!!!
 
Random bump. I'd be willing to take a shot at it for free. If you like it enough to give me some cash, that's cool too. Just need to get in as much mastering practice as possible with mixes that aren't mine :) PM if interested!
