Hey all,

Im buying my first propper recording soundcard, and i came between to the M-Audio Delta 1010LT, or the M-Audio Delta Audiophile 192.

The cost different dosent cause an issue, but dose anyone have any opinions on them against each other?

Thanks

I'd go for the LT.
8 analog channels is better than 2 and I really can't see the point in 192KHz recording

I´d go for the LT, more ins more outs. I got one and love it.

Im pretty new to all this, what is the best Khz to record at?

As long as you record at bit depth 24, after that it's up to you. 24 bits gives you much more dynamic range than 16 bit.

As far as sample rate goes, an 88.2Khz recording will use twice as much disk space as a 44.1 recording, and require more cpu grunt when mixing

what would be a standard rate to record at, that will still give good clarity? 24Khz?

CD quality is 16 bit, 44.1KHz.

If you record at 24 bit, 44.1KHz, you're theoritically getting 'better than CD quality'
