Thank you eraos for verifying my complete lack of a grasp on this :D

You will be able to monitor all inputs because the Delta1010lt has the "monitor mixer." It monitors everythign that's being input into the card, regardless of what preamp was used and sends it out 1 and 2, L and R respectively.
Yes, I am slow.
For the feckin' life of me, I cannot figure this out in the monitor mixer.
I've only done up to three tracks simultaneously, but I can only monitor either 3/4 or 5/6.

Humble setup as follows...

  1. N-track
  2. DMP3 (no board)
  3. Delta 1010lt
  4. Yorkville YSM1P powered monitors
So how can I route (for instance) inputs 3/4 and 5/6 out through outputs 1/2 where my monitors are?

Any input GREATLY apprecitated!
Thanx.

set output 1/2 to Monitor Mixer on the Patchbay Router then you use the Monitor Mixer output panel sliders to set the volumes as you desire

you can pan them about too to suit your needs without changing the input signal.....pretty cool feature if you don't have a mixer I suppose.

I think and I may be wrong but.
It should just be a master chanel assignment in N-Track. or each track may have a output assign.

Or! You may need to set the setting in the M-Audio control panel to monitor mixer.

Its been a while since I used N-Track.......... Sorry if this makes it more confusing.

Forget about the output assignment in N-Track...leave everything set to master out and just use the monitor mixer in the M-Audio control pannel to set your mix for tracking

That's what seemed to make sense to me also, but didn't work!
Seems it must be the way which I am assigning playback/recording devices in Ntrack.
I plunked around with that for quite a while too, alternately crashing my computer :o

master out?

I really am going to have to reinstall the modem in the other computer....
I don't remember seeing "master out".
